MAA Star Rated Clubs / Schools

The industry now has a new Star Rating (Endorsement) to recognise professional schools that operate at the highest standard.
To obtain this higher accreditation level, a school must go through an assessment process to see if they meet the criteria.

Martial Arts Australia the largest and the most inclusive association (by membership and services), provides consumers a helping hand, to find the safest and most qualified coaches / instructors. It can be difficult  to find the most appropriate martial arts coach / instructor, due to the varying belt / sash or Dan Grades. This is why it’s so much easier to just search for a MAA member club because ‘A’ there’s thousands of them and ‘B’ their qualifications have been screened.

Members have gone through a number of checks such as: qualifications, years of experience, first aid, working with children, police, insurance, OH&S, risk management, code of ethics in order to reach the industry standard for teaching / coaching. Our screening process goes over an above the entry level standards, to help you find those higher level coaches (4 & 5 Star Rated instructors) to take you to an elite level. Not all Member Clubs will have obtained their Star Rating as yet, as we are still in the process of evaluating coaches / instructors.


Certified Instructors mean they have met the appropriate qualifications and gone through a multi-point checking process.



FACILITY RATING

Our 4 – 5 – 6 Star Facility (Clubs / Gyms) Ratings Model.


This is like a Hotel / Resort rating, so each Gym / Club needs to have certain equipment, classes, programs, café, showers, onsite parking etc.

For example only full-time facilities can obtain 5 & 6 Star Ratings and the 4 star being the highest a part-time club (non dedicated business) can achieve.


As a consumer you don’t need to concern yourself with the rating process only what information it provides for you.
