AMACS
Australian Martial Arts Coaching Courses

Australian Martial Arts Coaching System (AMACS) is a well-established benchmark for instructor development, made easy through our online training courses and resource business packs. It is accessible from anywhere around the globe (internet connection required) and is offered at an affordable price.
We are very proud of the quality of our content and the practical relevance our courses provide, both to you as an instructor and to the whole martial arts industry. The course material is drawn from units of a Nationally Recognised Certificate III in Sport and Recreation, with an added mix of specific martial arts / self defence units. We run this course outside the restraints of an RTO, allowing us to provide additional industry-appropriate content, reduce assessment time, and make it more affordable. AMACS is divided into three separate courses, delivered as three levels — these levels aren’t limited to being labelled as instructor, senior / master instructor or coach. Martial artists at any level can enrol into any level course to gain the knowledge they need.

Why Recognition Matters
Peak Body Recognition (RPL)
Recognition of expertise can be based on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) — having an instructor’s existing qualifications, gradings and experience assessed against industry standards. This is done through MAA membership, an integral part of the CPI process. As Australia’s largest association, operating for over 25 years, it’s respected and endorsed locally and internationally.
Insurance Recognition
Recognition of qualifications and expertise is essential to meet an Underwriter’s risk rating criteria. CPI status is acknowledged as the best way to tick those boxes and identify a professional operator as less of a risk to the Insurer — instructors with CPI status, and qualifying school owners, can access cheaper insurance rates.
Consumer Recognition
Being endorsed as a good provider in the eyes of a consumer or potential student is vital for building your business. Testimonials carry weight, but consumers look deeper to see if an instructor or school is listed in a peak professional body — that listing gives students confidence the business meets an industry professional standard.
Instructor Qualifications
Industry-specific qualifications are essential for operators to have the right skills to serve the public. Nationally recognised instructor qualifications are mainly drawn from certificates, diplomas and degrees in sports coaching, sport & recreation and fitness, alongside assessed martial arts technical training and gradings.
